Our signs are so authentic they are made in a factory that
made signs for states in the 1930's and 40's. The same machine and dies
that were used then are used today. An American business, family owned, just
like mine. This sign is made of 18 gauge steel, deep
embossed, enamel painted and baked, conforming to the U S standard for highway
markers as defined in 1929. We include an excerpted copy of the manual that
applied, free with your sign.
Bullet holed, rusted, bent signs purporting to have been
in front of Uncle Herb's farm sell for $200-$2000. Our signs are modestly

This sign never graced a road side
anywhere along the highway. All signs had to display the state above the
horizontal line, U S, and the numerals for the route. We reluctantly
produce this for those of you who can't decide which state to buy, and don't
want to buy the signs for all 8 states that "The Mother Road" traversed.
